
(ECNS) -- The 2025 Forum on Empowering Cultural Trade with Digital and Intelligent Technologies was held in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, on Tuesday. Gathering guests from government, academia, and industry, the forum aims to explore a blueprint for innovative development of cultural trade in the digital era.
Jiang Xiaojuan, professor at the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and former deputy secretary-general of the State Council, delivered a keynote speech, outlining a macro vision for how digital and intelligent technologies drive the development of cultural trade.
Following the speech, prominent guests including Jiang Zengwei, chairman of the Global Alliance for Trade in Services, and Wang Xudong, director of the Palace Museum and chairman of the China Association for the Conservation Technology of Cultural Heritage, made thematic presentations on topics of building a culturally strong nation, revitalizing and preserving cultural heritage, and the globalization of cultural enterprises.
A policy roundtable themed on joint efforts to propel cultural trade toward greater horizons was held. Officials from key central government bodies introduced the latest policy measures to promote high-quality development in cultural trade, highlighting national-level planning and systematic support.
Representatives from Shenzhen also shared the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's pioneering experiences in digital cultural trade. The session concluded with the release of the 2025-2026 national key cultural export enterprises and projects.
On Tuesday afternoon, three industry roundtables will take place.
As a platform for the exchange of ideas and a bridge for industry collaboration, this forum under the Forum on Building up China's Cultural Strength 2025 will inject strong momentum into bringing Chinese culture to the world through policy insights, case sharing, and industry cooperation.
The forum was hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, and organized by the Publicity Departments of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee.
